Using Animation to Catch Attention for a New Healthcare SaaS Platform at Trade Shows
Camascope were launching their next generation of their Healthcare SaaS app at a busy trade show. With legacy competitors and a new pricing structure to introduce, standing out was critical. To help Tell It Better, we showed off the updated UI in a 90-second animated teaser that made their new app the star of the (trade) show.
The opportunity
Technology breeds innovation. With a completely rebuilt medication management system, Camascope were bringing their care home clients into the future. Their latest offering improved traceability, further removed antiquated paper systems and made the day-to-day running of medication more efficient.
The new SaaS platform had to deliver on two sides. Firstly, existing customers had to feel there were quality of life improvements - without feeling alienated from systems they’d come to know inside out. However, new customers had to be excited and compelled to buy-in to the platform, and potentially move away from Camascope’s competition.
What we did
A main consideration for the project was an upcoming trade show - a key marketing milestone in the yearly calendar. The animation offered a brilliant opportunity to attract an audience to the exhibition stand, giving detail and insight to the viewers and freeing up team members on the day to engage in deeper conversations around the product.
The main feature of the new platform was a revised user interface (UI). So, it felt like a natural decision to showcase as much of this as possible - including different devices, sections of the app and interactions between man and machine.
This led to a 90 second ‘hero’ animation, with a series of 15 second shorts to use on social media and in email campaigns. We also provided versions with and without subtitles (perfect for loud exhibition halls), and with different call to actions (CTAs) for use in different parts of their sales cycle.
The outcome
Our project was delivered on budget and on time, ready for the key milestone of the exhibition.
The animation was received extremely well internally and at the trade show event. A stakeholder was so impressed, they referred us to another company who were struggling with a similar issue in a different industry.
Camascope went on to commission a further animation with us on another aspect of their business.
