Highlighting customer perks with motion graphic videos
Handepay (part of Paypoint) is a merchant services company with thousands of customers nationwide. They’re constantly innovating and bringing new features to their customers, but if the customer doesn’t know it exists, they’re not going to use it. And if they don’t use the feature, they can’t benefit from it.
The opportunity
A brilliant new feature, called Digital Receipts, enabled customers to scan a QR code on the card terminal, and receive a digital version of the sales receipt, with endless possibilities for saving or forwarding on.
Existing customers needed to be made aware of this feature, how it helped them, and how to enable it in a shortened, automated workflow. New customers or prospective customers needed to see how Handepay offered ongoing support and innovation.
What we did
This short explainer video lent itself perfectly to motion graphics. Firstly, it was centred around a device - in this instance a card terminal machine. Secondly, the Handepay brand used simple shapes (mostly circular) and a vivid colour palette with a few core tones.
With Digital Receipts being just one small aspect of their service, it was clear from the start that this project could benefit from some level of templating. Not only would that mean ultimate brand consistency across future projects, it meant cost and time savings as future projects would lean heavily on the style set out in this first project.
The outcome
A succinct 60 second explainer video with some storytelling, some features and benefits, and an instructional section.
Jess, the head of marketing for Handepay was thrilled with the project. We’re on our third video for Handepay, with plans for more in the future.
